Delete your FinSeek account
Two ways to permanently delete your FinSeek AI account and everything stored with it. No sign-in needed to read this page.
In the app
Open FinSeek, go to Profile, and choose Delete account. Confirm when prompted.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us.
By email
If you no longer have access to the app, email privacy@finseekai.com with the subject Delete my FinSeek account.
Send it from the email address on the account so we can confirm it is yours. We will verify ownership, delete the account, and confirm by reply. Requests are processed within 30 days and usually much sooner.
What deletion removes
Deleted permanently:
- Your account, email address, display name, and optional phone number
- All stored transactions — date, merchant, amount, type, and category
- Categories, insights, forecasts, and detected subscriptions derived from your data
- AI interaction records
- Any Plaid bank connection and its encrypted access token
Raw statement files are never stored in the first place. They are extracted in memory when you upload them and discarded immediately, so there is nothing to delete.
Retained briefly after deletion:
- Anonymized usage logs, which cannot be linked back to you, for up to 12 months
- Encrypted database backups held by our infrastructure provider, for up to 7 days on a rolling basis, after which they expire automatically
You can also delete individual statements or all transactions without closing your account, and export everything as a CSV first, from the Profile and Transactions pages in the app.
